How To Become A Yoga Teacher

by | Apr 5, 2018 | 10 Day Transformation, Flexibility, Kundalini Yoga

Be Healthier, Stronger and even more powerful with Yoga, Mantra & Meditation in your everyday life!

I’ve been a yogini my whole life, naturally, yoga was always with me. It started in the womb, because at that time my mother was a devoted student of the beautiful Swami Saraswati. Swami imprinted me and that was my life mission, I fell in love with Swami, the embodiment of an absolute goddess. She was an authentic yoga and Ayurvedic teacher from India, the heart of yoga and was instrumental in establishing yoga and health retreats in Australia. I remember watching her videos and practicing on the lounge room floor as a girl and I envied my mum always going to Swamis health retreat to practice yoga, meditation and Ayurvedic cleansing, back in the day.

My childhood passed, with yoga consistently imprinting the person I was becoming. As a teen, I used yoga as my life-line, it gave me the courage to be a fearless rebel, not listening to my parents or society, instead listening to the call of my soul. I didn’t meet many people who were also following their destiny, but when i did, it was heaven on earth, my soul mates appeared everywhere and continue to do so. They are my teachers and true loves. Funnily so many of the ‘yoga teachers’ I encountered along the way were full of so much bullshit, that I was notorious of escaping teacher trainings. I didn’t fit in at all, I could see through all the masks and the marketing and their desperate need for significance. I was starved of inspiration in the kundalini Yoga scene in Australia, then at age 22 I met Gurmukh in NYC and loved her teacher training because finally I found a goddess, not a performer. Not long after that I collided with Guru Singh in LA and he stole my heart, because he looked like a wizard and he spoke the language of the cosmos. That was it. Somehow I felt ok to pursue the “Kundalini Yoga Teacher’ brand but keep the rebel intact. No way was I becoming another puppet in the play, with a ridiculous spiritual name and no brain.

I advise all my online students who come to me asking for advice about where to do their teacher training: Run a mile!!! Why become another lost soul pretending to be a yoga teacher? I just want everyone to know, the world is full of fake yoga teachers, pretending to be all great and Guru like with spiritual names, turbans, robes. It’s 2018, follow who you are, your dreams as a child are so much more beautiful then the latest yoga trend.

When you understand who and what you are, your radiance projects into the universal radiance and everything around you becomes creative and full of opportunity.

The fact is that there is nothing more beautiful, more worthy or more conscious than you.

Some words from my one of my rebel teachers Yogi Bhajan:

You have to understand the purpose of life. The purpose of life is to do something which will live forever. “Sadhana is self-enrichment. It is not something which is done to please somebody or to gain something. Sadhana is a personal process in which you bring out your personal best
